Even if you don&#8217;t know what anti-oxidants are,\u00a0you know you should have more of them. Green tea is what I consider to be a &#8220;super food&#8221; for more than just the anti-oxidants. It&#8217;s the L-Theanine!<\/p>\n<p>L-Theanine is an amino acid that helps us relax. The small amount of caffeine in green tea will help us focus and feel awake, but the calming effect of L-Theanine will actually help nourish your adrenal glands and relax!<\/p>\n<p>If you find yourself stressed a lot, anxious, and tossing around trying to get some good zzz&#8217;s,\u00a0switch your coffee for green tea. Try this for a week and see if you feel better. I certainly, did.<\/p>\n<p>Green tea also has a lot less tannins than black tea or coffee so it&#8217;s not as much of a diuretic. That means your skin won&#8217;t be as dry!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Favorite Green Tea<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gunpowder:<\/strong>\u00a0This is a strong savoring\u00a0green tea. It&#8217;s taste seems more advanced not only because it is bold, but also because it lacks floral hints and\u00a0sweetness. It&#8217;s your straight-forward green tea that satisfies a regular tea drinker&#8217;s palette.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jasmine Pearls:<\/strong> I\u00a0personally love the pearls. They are rolled up tea leaves that\u00a0blossom in hot water and in the process release their fragrance. The soft and natural\u00a0floral taste and its aroma is my regular go-to these days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Genmaicha<\/strong>:\u00a0It&#8217;s nutty, smooth, and sweet with toasted rice mixed in. Its very aromatic and definitely\u00a0the flavor that\u00a0got me started on loving green tea!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matcha:<\/strong>\u00a0This is considered an ancient secret to beauty, health, and longevity but be careful with this one! It is a pulverized\u00a0green tea,\u00a0so a little goes a long way. Most Matcha drinks are heavily sweetened and can also contain a lot more caffeine than what you&#8217;d expect.
