Fight or Flight (Sympathetic State)<\/strong><\/p><p>This is your survival mode.<\/p><p>When your body senses stress, it prioritizes:<\/p><ul><li>focus<\/li><li>alertness<\/li><li>quick reactions<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>And it downregulates:<\/p><ul><li>digestion<\/li><li>nutrient absorption<\/li><li>stomach acid production<\/li><li>enzyme release<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>In this state, your body is not thinking about digesting your lunch. It\u2019s thinking about survival.<\/p><p><strong>2. Rest and Digest (Parasympathetic State)<\/strong><\/p><p>This is where digestion actually happens.<\/p><p>In this state:<\/p><ul><li>stomach acid increases<\/li><li>enzymes are released<\/li><li>food is broken down efficiently<\/li><li>nutrients are absorbed properly<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>This is the state your body needs to be in to feel good after eating.<\/p><h3>Why this matters more than you think<\/h3><p>You can eat the \u201cperfect\u201d meal, but if you\u2019re stressed while eating it, your body may not break it down properly, absorb nutrients, or move it efficiently through your digestive system<\/p><p>Which can lead to bloating, gas and discomfort after meals.<\/p><p>This is why so many people say, \u201cI eat healthy\u2026 but I still feel off.\u201d<\/p><h3>The missing piece most people overlook<\/h3><p>It\u2019s not just what you eat.
