CRACKpot Oatmeal… It’s that good!

This is a good recipe to make enough for the week. Portion out servings in separate containers and ‘dress’ to your liking.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup steal-cut oats or grain of your choice like buckwheat, millet/rice combo, black rice.
  • 1 yam or 3 carrots or 1 large beet (any sweet vegetable)
  • 1 cinamon stick (or any favorite sweet spices, nutmeg, cardamon, etc)
  • dried fruit optional
  • salt

Directions

Fill the slow-cooker with all the ingredients and set on low overnight.

Wake-up to “instant” breakfast.

Top with a big handful of your favorite nuts and seeds for healthy fat and protein

To make this protein rich add- 2T ground flaxseed, 2T chia seed, 2T favorite nut butter
